Vessel Operations Support Engineer

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in maintaining vessel certification and structural inspection in compliance with regulatory and certifying requirements.
2. Support the implementation and management of the Preventative Maintenance Programme to ensure vessel equipment is properly maintained and repaired as needed.
3. Prepare scopes of work for projects including major maintenance and shipyard projects.
4. Oversee the planning, review by classification societies, construction and installation phases.
5. Liaise with third-party service companies, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and in-house support for special projects and maintenance investigations.
6. Monitor vessels operational performance through regular quality benchmarking.
7. Work with the Technical Ship Manager, Marine Manager and Subsea Projects Lead on continuous improvement initiatives.
8. Ensure all equipment failure reports are completed and coordinate the repair and return of equipment sent to shore for inspection and/or repair.

Requirements:

• Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping (STCW) relevant qualifications; BSc or MSc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of shore-based experience as a Vessel Superintendent, Chief Engineer or Electro Technical Officer with extensive experience onboard offshore Dynamic Positioned Level 2 (DP2) vessels.
• Sound knowledge of Self Elevating Units (SEU), Fast Support Intervention Vessels (FSIV), Platform Supply Vessels (PSV) and Diving Support Vessels (DSV).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Oracle.
