Urgent requirement for a Vice President - Domestic Transaction Banking (Qatarization) to based in Qatar for a major financial institution.
Main Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of the Profit and Loss (P&L) and asset book, ensuring strong financial performance and effective asset management.
- Build and foster productive relationships with all relevant departments and units within QNB to ensure alignment with the Group's overall goals and objectives.
- Collaborate closely with the product team on the development and implementation of cash and trade products and services across QNB Group, ensuring initiatives are in harmony with the Head Office's (HO) transaction banking business objectives.
- Oversee financial and performance management reporting to monitor business performance, ensuring that financial targets are consistently met.
- Provide accurate and timely information to external and internal auditors, as well as the Compliance function, when required.
- Partner with Cash and Trade Products teams to enhance capabilities, specifically related to domestic product/credit programs, trade products, and cash management solutions based on market and client insights.
- Collaborate with the HO and Country Managers to support the strategic goals of the Cash and Trade business.
- Lead the Department's human resources management, including manpower and resource planning, recruitment, performance appraisal, and conflict resolution, ensuring team members have the necessary resources and motivation to meet the Bank's and Department's objectives.
- Promptly address and resolve any internal disputes, maintaining a cohesive and efficient team environment.
- Ensure the Department's activities are fully documented in accordance with internal and external regulations, while providing senior management with regular performance updates.
- Undertake additional tasks and projects as assigned by the direct manager related to Corporate and Institutional Banking and QNB Group activities.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or Information Technology. A Master's degree is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant banking experience, ideally within a top-tier international bank.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral.
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional relationships and large-scale projects.
- Extensive knowledge of cash and trade products and solutions.
- Strong experience in Treasury advisory and Trade solutions structuring.
- Front-office experience in one or more of the following areas: Cash Management, Trade Finance, Corporate Finance, Syndications, Trade Financial Institutions, Supply Chain Finance, Trade Distribution, Forfaiting, Commodity Finance, Export Credit Agency (ECA), or Development Bank-supported financing.
- Demonstrated people management and leadership experience.
- Results-driven with a focus on P&L performance.
- Exceptional negotiation and sales skills.
- Self-motivated, creative, and committed to securing and executing successful deals.
- Ability to work independently while effectively managing QNB's domestic cash and trade sales operations.
