Job Description

Job Purpose:

The candidate will play a hunter role for the all the business segments within EDB and can manage non-borrowing customers.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Operational Responsibilities

  1. Onboard NTB (New-to-Bank) customers for lending purposes by referring them to the business team through up-selling, deep-selling, or cross-selling bank products, either from the market or partner banks.
  2. Conduct Initial Assessments: Carry out a first-level review of potential customers by gathering documents, conducting credit checks, CBRB (Central Bank Risk Bureau) checks, and performing preliminary due diligence.
  3. Lead Management: Oversee leads generated from partners and industry events, ensuring they are nurtured and converted into business opportunities.
  4. Credit & Trade Product Knowledge: Maintain a strong understanding of banking products, particularly in credit and trade services, with expertise in underwriting, credit analysis, and liabilities.
  5. Promote and onboard customers across businesses of all sizes for the bank's liability products.
  6. Enhance relationship revenue from non-borrowing accounts by cross-selling complete range of products offered by the bank.
  7. Screen the market for NTB opportunities & develop the portfolio by soliciting new relationships within the defined segment and acceptable risk parameters for achieving the assigned financial and non-financial objectives
  8. Assume complete ownership of liability portfolio. Provide superior customer service and regularly meet all customers. Maintain close working relationships with clients to ensure in depth understanding of business so as to reduce risks, promote cross sell & maximize earnings.
  9. Hands on relationship management to ensure effective and timely delivery of the bank's services/products to clients.
  10. Implement and maintain complete control aspects i.e. documentation, periodical client visits / call reports, stock inspections and formal credit checks / informal market feedback to monitor the effectively & maintain acceptable portfolio quality.
  11. Liaise between internal and external advisors to ensure precision of agreements.
  12. Liaise with superiors and direct reports if any within the business units, Risk Management and related enabler units within the bank to achieve business objectives.
  13. Develop a strong level of local contacts with the local business and financial institutions community
