We're seeking an experienced VP of Investment specializing in Equity Portfolio and Fund Management for a prominent financial institution in Qatar. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead strategic equity investment initiatives, manage a high-performance team, and drive market-aligned results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the institution's equity investment strategy, aligning with corporate goals and market conditions.
- Provide strategic direction to portfolio and fund management teams, ensuring performance optimization and risk mitigation.
- Monitor market trends and economic developments, adapting strategies to emerging opportunities.
- Oversee the development, management, and tracking of equity funds to meet financial targets and regulatory standards.
- Build strong relationships with institutional investors and high-value clients, focusing on retention and satisfaction.
- Mentor and develop a team of investment professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Conduct research and analysis on equity markets to assess potential investments and associated risks.
- Make data-driven investment decisions, supported by quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Ensure timely reporting of portfolio performance and uphold compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or Master's in Finance preferred.
- 10-15 years of experience in equity investment management, with a strong track record in portfolio and fund management.
- Proven expertise in managing substantial equity portfolios and meeting performance benchmarks.
- In-depth knowledge of equity markets, investment strategies, and regulatory frameworks, particularly in the MENA region.
- Strong leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire excellence and collaboration within the team.
- Advanced analytical and quantitative skills, including proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Level 3 certification required.
