Position Overview:
Our client is an International software & AI business and is seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Corporate Development to join their team. Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction and growth trajectory of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Planning: Lead the development and execution of corporate development strategies aligned with the company's overall vision, mission, and goals. Evaluate market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities to identify growth areas and potential partnerships or acquisitions.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies across all business operations. Develop and implement robust compliance programs to mitigate risks and maintain the company's reputation for ethical conduct.
- ESG Integration: Drive the integration of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into the company's business strategy and operations. Develop and implement ESG initiatives that align with stakeholder expectations, enhance corporate reputation, and contribute to sustainable growth.
- Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A): Lead M&A activities including target identification, due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and integration planning. Evaluate potential acquisition targets or strategic partnerships based on strategic fit, financial viability, and synergies.
- Strategic Partnerships: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with key stakeholders including customers, suppliers, industry organizations, and governmental agencies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders including executives, board members, investors, regulators, and community representatives.
- Performance Measurement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the effectiveness of corporate development initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of work experience acquired (ideally) at a multinational firm and/or in an internal strategy department for a high growth organization.
- Extensive experience in corporate development, M&A, strategic planning, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of compliances, governance principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated expertise in ESG integration and sustainable business practices.
- Proven track record of successfully executing strategic initiatives and driving business growth.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence key stakeholders.
