Role Purpose
Lead the strategic planning and execution of multimedia experiences, ensuring seamless integration of advanced technologies that align with overarching business and strategic goals. Drive the adoption of best practices in game design and experience studio operations to enhance the production of cutting-edge media experiences.
Key Accountabilities & Activities
- Strategy Development: Develop and execute a strategic vision in collaboration with senior leadership for technology delivery, aligning with the goals of the broader experience and technology roadmap.
- Technology Implementation: Lead the deployment of technology solutions that elevate gaming and entertainment experiences across multiple media layers.
- Project Portfolio Oversight: Oversee the entire project portfolio within technology delivery, ensuring alignment with business priorities and objectives.
- Resource & Budget Management: Effectively prioritise and manage project timelines, resources, and budgets.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with managers across internal teams, including design, technology, R&D, and business stakeholders, to ensure the successful delivery of technology solutions.
- Quality Assurance: Champion rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and performance of technology solutions in a world-class venue.
- Standards & Best Practices: Define and enforce technology standards, best practices, and methodologies within the technology delivery organisation, driving the experience studio to push industry best practices.
Background, Skills & Qualifications
Education
- Advanced degree in Technology Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- Additional business or management qualifications are advantageous.
Experience
- 8+ years of senior leadership experience in technology delivery, project management, or a related role within the gaming or entertainment industry.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery and technology implementation; experience in the gaming industry is essential.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and vision-setting abilities.
- Strong project management skills with the capability to oversee complex technology delivery projects from start to finish; familiarity with agile methodologies is a plus.
- Solid financial management skills, with the ability to manage budgets, forecast costs, and allocate resources effectively.
- Experience in financial planning for technology delivery projects.
- Proven ability to turn strategic vision into actionable plans for technology delivery.
- Deep knowledge of the gaming and entertainment industry, including technological trends, visitor behaviours and expectations, and market dynamics.
