Job Description

Resource : Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing Engineer, who specializes in identifying and exploiting weaknesses in computer systems and networks.

Responsibilities

Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across various systems, including networks, web applications, mobile applications, and thick-client applications.

Perform manual and automated testing procedures, using a combination of industry-standard tools and their own hacking expertise.

Analyze data from network scans, logs, and other sources to identify potential security risks.

Review system configurations for security flaws.

Conduct source code review to identify vulnerabilities in custom applications.

Prepare detailed reports outlining the findings of their assessments, including identified vulnerabilities, exploitability assessments, and recommendations for remediation.

Communicate effectively with clients to explain their findings and recommendations.

Stay up-to-date on the latest hacking techniques, vulnerabilities, and security threats.

Skills

Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP)

In-depth knowledge of web application security vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10)

Proficiency in penetration testing methodologies and tools (Nessus, Metasploit, Burp Suite)

Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automating tasks

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and reporting skills

Certifications

Industry-recognized security certifications, such as:

Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

Offensive Security Certified Expert (OSCE)
