Developer - Team Lead consultant

Role and Responsibilities

The Sr. Java Application Developer is responsible for designing/developing/configuring the functionality for Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) applications.

Develops and maintains JEE applications; JSF, EJB, JPA experience

Provides operational support for existing JEE applications

Analyzes, designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains applications and application enhancements

Develops and adheres to standard AGILE methodologies to produce project results that are measurable and delivered on time and within budget

Develops and adheres to team project standards for development including tools, platforms, methodology, and controls to ensure efficiency, quality, and consistency

Prepares detailed software specifications and test plans

Performs quality assurance reviews

Provides program and system level time/cost estimates

Provides technical documentation updated to the latest enhancement or release

Assists in reviewing the current technical architecture, including design patterns and development

Assists with defining and meeting business requirements

Serves as project leader for small initiatives

Works with various business units and other IT units for their configuration/development needs

Provides guidance to less experienced programmers

Works with legacy systems and other system migration

Effectively reports on application development

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject

Preferred Skills

• 6 years experience in application and web systems development
• 5 years of experience with JSF, EJB, JPA
• SOAP and REST frameworks
• Oracle Database skills (SQL / PL/SQL)
• An application server (such as JBOSS); and
• An integrated development environment (such as Eclipse)
• Excellent web design skills
• Strong communication skills with ability to document and troubleshoot problems and communicate with business and technical personnel at all levels
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously;

Experience with HTML5 and Java Script IS MUST
