Web3 Research Analyst (Accelerator)

Our client is one of the largest Web3 investment firms in the Middle East region. They work with startups at various stages of their lifecycle from pre-seed / seed to later stage about to launch (or live) token networks specializing in general Web3, Infrastructure, DeFi, and associated sectors.

About The Role

They are seeking an investment analyst to join their research team. This role is designed to support the research department overseeing the accelerator's thought leadership & development. You will play a pivotal role in the research process and will be working closely with investments, program managers, business development, portfolio, and marketing. Leveraging insights from across their business, combined with your own network in Web3, they expect you to develop and become a kol in various industry sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• BD Support: Help their BD tailor their programs to specific ecosystem needs. This involves ecosystem analysis to understand the specific needs of their partners and aligning them with what they, as a market leader, can offer.
• Investment and Support: Deliver insights from valuable data extracted through their program recruitment funnel and daily operations. These insights are used internally for strategic decision-making and externally for their program partners.
• Portfolio: Engage with portfolio companies to collaborate on delivering key insights around product upgrades, capital raises, mainnet or token launches etc.

Required:

• 1-2 years of experience in research activities, preferably focused on tech, cryptocurrency, or Web3.
• A self-starter, comfortable with minimal direction and high expectations, with a proven ability to learn new domains and technologies quickly.
• Strong understanding of Web3, crypto, and blockchain concepts & ecosystems.
• Ability to understand and manage complex information, form a sharp point of view, and communicate it clearly and succinctly to different audiences.
• Understands the value of scalable systems & processes.
• Comfortable building conviction based on both qualitative and quantitative data points.
• Highly motivated with the ability to handle routine tasks and solve problems with high interpersonal skills.
