Welding Operator

• Job Summary:

Overall responsibility for operating Automatic/Manual Welding equipment and carrying out process as per as per the work instructions and procedures in accordance with production, quality and achieve global objectives set up by Special Process Manager and Company.

• Responsibilities:

· Supports the Special Process Manager to achieve objectives and daily production requirements, and on time quality product outputs.

· Operates the welding equipment to perform the jobs in accordance with the defined procedures and work instructions.

· Performs testing as per WI's and procedures.

· Records process information and completion of the job in the shop traveler, production supported documents and data collection in ERP in order to maintain all required records as per SAT process requirements and defined WI's.

· Performs and logs maintenance level 1 as per WI's and requirements.

· Maintains the cleanliness of the shop and equipment for the welding area.

· Notifies and reports any issues to Special process Manager or assigned stakeholders related to welding equipment malfunction, quality defect, safety and production concerns .

· Ensures proper PPE's (Personnel Protective Equipment) are worn as per safety of work requirements.

· Ensures all hazardous waste materials are disposed of correctly.

· Supports company projects to include but not limited to process surveillance, new process qualifications and testing as required by the management.

· Performs other duties as assigned by the Special process Manager and management.

• Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma or degree in production, manufacturing or equivalent.

• Minimum of 3 years experience (junior or 7 years senior) in MIG, TIG welding activities (steel and alloys, Aluminum) in aerospace, defense industries or other industries.

Knowledge and exposure with manual welding and orbital welding (automatic ).

• Certification and qualification in TIG/MIG welding as per MIL standards, including NDT visual inspection training and or qualification desirable.

Awareness of international standards in environment, health and safety.

• Awareness regarding data collection.

Desirable experience with equipment with Fanuc welding robot and programming.
