Responsible for leading the recreational programs and activities at our sports facility, with a primary focus on financial management, program development, special events, sponsorships, and facility operations;
plays a critical role in creating and maintaining a vibrant sports community by delivering high-quality
programs, fostering partnerships, and ensuring exceptional facility experiences for patrons
Responsibilities
Financial Management:
Develop and manage the departmental budget, including revenue projections, expense tracking, and financial Reporting;
Implement strategies to maximize revenue generation through program fees, memberships, sponsorships, and other revenue streams;
Monitor financial performance against budgetary targets, identify variances, and implement corrective actions as needed;
Monthly activities Calendar:
Develop a comprehensive monthly activities calendar that includes a diverse range of recreational programs, events, and special promotions;
Collaborate with staff and external partners to plan and coordinate activities that align with community interests, seasonal trends, and facility capacity;
Communicate the activities calendar to staff, patrons, and stakeholders through various channels, including digital platforms, newsletters, and signage;
Program Development and Management:
Design, implement, and evaluate recreational programs catering to various age groups, skill levels, and interests, with a focus on attracting and retaining participants;
Conduct market research, surveys, and needs assessments to identify program opportunities
and address community preferences;
Monitor program participation, feedback, and satisfaction to continuously improve program quality and effectiveness;
Special Events Sponsorship:
Cultivate relationships with corporate sponsors, local businesses, and community organizations to secure sponsorship for special events, tournaments, and initiatives;
Develop customized sponsorship packages and proposals that align with sponsors marketing objectives and provide tangible benefits and exposure;
Coordinate sponsor activations, branding opportunities, and recognition to ensure fulfilment of sponsorship agreements;
Relations with Federations:
Serve as the primary liaison with sports federations, governing bodies, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with rules, regulations, and accreditation standards;
Establish and maintain positive relationships with all the stakeholders, both internal and external, federation representatives, participating in meetings, workshops, and forums to stay abreast of industry trends and developments and develop [ collaboration opportunities to deliver programs and activities to expand service offerings;
Facility Operations:
Oversee the scheduling, maintenance, and upkeep of sports facilities, including fields, courts, equipment, and amenities done by the Operations Manager;
Oversee the coordination of the facility rentals, bookings, and usage agreements, optimizing facility utilization while ensuring a positive experience for patrons;
Oversee the Implementation of policies and procedures to maintain safety, cleanliness, and accessibility throughout the facility;
Sports activities:
Create and provide leadership and direction to staff responsible for organizing and facilitating sports activities, leagues, tournaments, and clinics;
Ensure compliance with facility utilization guidelines, regulations, rules, sports activities regulations, participant eligibility, officiating standards, and code of conduct;
Develop strategies to attract and retain participants, including promotional campaigns, loyalty programs, and customer engagement initiatives;
Establish monthly and annual calendar of activates and programs to be communicated in advance in collaboration with the client
