We have a current opportunity for a Ruya Batch 1 WHP Jacket QC Welding Supervisor on a contract basis. The position will be based in Doha. For further information about this position please apply.
Acitivities
To ensure that Contractor is following the technical requirements for material, welding, dimensional and testing activities.
To perform welding inspection as per defined Quality Control plan.
To implement the Technical Referential and applicable local and international codes.
Whilst having a direct hierarchical link with Jacket QC Superintendent, the Jacket QC Welding Supervisor will be integrated into EPCIC12 Package. Therefore, the Jacket QC Welding Supervisor will also expect to provide construction activities report to EPCIC12 Jacket Construction Superintendent on a day-to-day basis.
Qualification:
o Bachelor / Diploma level formal education in Engineering discipline.
o Certified in Welding Inspection - AWS SCWI, CSWIP Grade
- 2 or EWIP/IWIP-C or COMPANY approved equivalent.
o Certified in NDE Methods
Professional Experience (number of years): 15 years of experience associated with Quality control supervision and coordination of quality activities within Construction yard fabrication and Hook-up projects of offshore facilities (jacket, bridges, and topsides) in the Oil and Gas Industry.
A good knowledge of Standards, standards and international codes/standards related to design, fabrication, and inspection.
Comprehensive knowledge in welding, material, corrosion and NDE.
Strong Knowledge in Topside, Jacket and Bridge Fabrication and Exposure in T&I Activities
Good leadership skills and good communication skills.
Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment.
Be skilled in using computer programs for word processing, database management, spreadsheets and e-mail communications.
Familiar with Document Control System such as PRODOM/MANASA.
Familiar with Pre-Commissioning activities and tools such as ICAPS
H2S OPITO, CA-EBS and T-BOSIET trainings.
