Workshop Manager - Heavy Machinery to join our team.
Job Scope:
The Workshop Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of a heavy machine industry workshop, ensuring that all equipment, machines and tools are well-maintained and ready for use, through managing the team and their work.
Job Duties:
- Manage and supervise the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring that all work is completed on time and to a high standard.
- Manage and motivate a team of technicians and mechanics, ensuring that they have the necessary skills, tools and equipment to carry out their work.
- Develop and implement maintenance and repair schedules, ensuring that all machines and equipment are well-maintained and ready for use at all times.
- Ensure that all health and safety regulations and standards are adhered to by all staff members in the workshop.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring that their needs and expectations are met or exceeded.
- Manage inventory and procurement of spare parts and materials, ensuring that they are available when needed and at a reasonable cost.
- Provide regular reports on the workshop's performance, including budget and cost analysis, productivity, and quality metrics
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience:
- Proven 5 years of experience in Managing a Workshop in a Heavy Machine industry setting.
- Proven experience in the reporting and handling issues related to main dealers.
Other Requirements:
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of technicians and mechanics.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of heavy machine industry equipment and tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and team members.
- Strong Knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.
