Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for executing service work according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines. Delivering excellent customer service to satisfy customers, in close cooperation with customer and other ABB teams, taking actions to identify new service business opportunities for ABB.
The work model for this role (onsite)
This role is contributing to the Motion Business Area based in Drives Workshop 10th of Ramadan Egypt.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Performing workshop tasks such as Drives troubleshooting, repair, assembly and testing of ACS880/800/550/580/ ACS800LC, DC driving and all other ABB VFD product family which are arriving to workshop.
- Proactively executing work on a first-time right approach and ensuring the job is done on time and on quality, identifying improvement needs and potential solutions for them in the way of working, communicating proactively and driving small improvement actions. Providing technical support service to end user regarding the DSW cases in
accordance with ABB guideline.
- Keeping track of drives arriving and leaving the workshop and keeping customer up-dated with the progress of the service, preparing for deliveries with DN/PL, arranging packing and logistics follow-up, DSW case data file entry and update with utmost accuracy, E-waste/recycling process handling.
- Contributing to customer satisfaction by executing Service work according to custom-er order and expectation. Creating and maintaining a good relationship with customers and understanding their needs.
- Checking bill of materials and other documents identifying required parts for needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available for service execution.
- Material handling, storage of shipments, handling spare parts and keeping inventory up to date, ensuring the completion, processing, and maintenance of all required documentation.
- Preparing all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative. Re-porting work done in a timely manner and follows up when needed
- Proactively identifying potential Drive system failures and requesting proactive corrective actions. Troubleshooting drives failure and making recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future.
- Proactively identifying suggestions for product and quality improvement and communicating them further in the ABB organization. Providing recommendations to management improving operations and customer service standards
- Contributing to customer satisfaction by executing workshop orders according to workshop processes and guidelines, acting with sense of urgency and care in the direct area of responsibility.
- Applying safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities. Re-porting unsafe practices and incidents.
Qualifications For The Role
- Bachelor's degree in electrical/Mechatronics engineering
- 3 years of experience in Drives & Motors.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English & Arabic language is a must.
