Job Purpose:
To ensure optimum operational efficiency of Food Safety X-ray machines within EKFC, and to provide specialized technical knowledge and operational support to the production and operations team. X Ray technician will enhance the knowledge of the team and performance of the X Ray machines throughout the Production areas. Continuous monitoring and training of production & operations employees is paramount to ensure detailed hands-on operational understanding of relevant X-Ray machines.
Key Result Areas:
- Provide hands-on x-ray machine training for operators across EKFC leading to effective management of parameters and sensitivity specific requirements for meal menus and ingredients.
- Develop and implement SOPs for the machine usage to ensure consistency, compliance, and training. Ensure compliance to SOPs from various company operators to ensure right x-ray machine setting is right as per the product requirements.
- Complete maintenance, service, adjustments/calibrations, testing and repairs of the machines based on OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) guidelines and manuals as well as government regulations, i.e. FANR to ensure they are well-maintained and are operating optimally.
- Analyse calibration concerns for root cause analysis and provide solutions with minimal downtime to production.
- Ensure effective adjustments and programming to machine settings to match the product with food density and material for error free identification.
- Schedule planned preventative maintenance (PPM) of machine's based on manufacturer's recommendation and operational load.
- Maintain x-ray machine calibration records and raise request for recalibration on regular intervals based on the requirement.
- Escalate potential safety risks related to x-ray machine use with the appropriate teams to eliminate hazards.
- Liaise with food safety and production departments to prepare incident report in case of any occurrence and with local & international suppliers related to x-ray machines wherever support is required.
- Prepare and share relevant monthly reports to production and engineering providing details on availability, utilization, status, etc. for x-ray machines.
- Create SOPs and conduct maintenance for flow wrap machines, cutlery machines, crimping machines and packing machines ensuring these machines are well utilized with maximum availability to production and operations team.
Education Qualification:
- Diploma in Engineering.
- Food Safety X Ray machines Operation and Service Certification by Ishida or equivalent.
Work Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant hands-on experience in food industry field, on X-Ray machines.
- Extensive experience in training, maintenance, troubleshooting and operation of Food Safety X Ray machines.
