Purpose of Job
Jobholders at this level carry out specific tasks independently but are subject to close supervision. They research, collect and analyze information, draft reports and documents, participate in specific meetings and develop their own professional expertise. They undertake simple operational activities including follow ups on effectiveness of Zakat policies, collection and recording of queries, and supporting in guided research projects.
Job Resposiblites
Queries Processing
- Receive internal queries related to Zakat policies and regulations and accordingly ensure proper and prompt responses and resolutions
- Provide advisory services for simple inquiries in the field of implementing/understanding Zakat policies and laws as well as Zakat accounting principles, clarify ambiguities, and accordingly provide solutions and recommendations
- Forward complex inquiries to Zakat Research, Studies or Laws & Policies functions for further resolution
Enablement
- Maintain and frequently update Sharia Research and Studies related FAQ databases, in close coordination with Zakat Research/Studies functions, to improve overall advisory services
- Evaluate incoming queries and requests, assess public understanding of Zakat principles, and accordingly conduct needed meetings to provide to management with related data
- Collect awareness needs and support in defining awareness strategy to guarantee that changes in Zakat policies/laws are conveyed effectively
- Develop training/ awareness content with needed tools, materials and guides ensuring alignment with best practices and national trends
- Conduct awareness campaigns and training sessions with related stakeholders in order to provide them with the necessary assistance on appropriate Zakat principles and practices
- Monitor the effectiveness of Zakat trainings and awareness initiatives and accordingly develop needed reports highlighting discrepancies and improvement actions
Organization and Operations
- Follow all relevant policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
- Help in solving escalated problems and provide needed support for junior team to ensure work is carried out in an efficient manner
- Escalate complex problems to the relevant person to ensure cases/issues are closed properly
- Perform other duties as requested
- Represent the agency in business meetings with other authority sectors or other government agencies
